It is total BS designed to lure you onto their premises. To save a deal I even offered to buy the car for HIGHER than advertised price but no - my offer was rejected. It's like the dealership is the only place where the price is different. Guess what? The price did not change on their web site, it did not change when you talk to them on the phone, but it did change when I walked into the dealership in person. The dealer lectured me that they don't have to sell the car to me for the advertised price because of small print on the site stating the price can change without a notice. Basically, you are at square one negotiating the price starting with original MSRP. When you come to the dealership the car is there on the lot, the advertised price is there displayed on the screen in front of you on their computers but they will not sell the car to you for the price + all requires fees.

You call them, they tell you the car is on their lot and they will honor the price. So, whatever you see online is all total BS.
